Smaller Wedding Packages

Being able to shoot smaller outdoor weddings over the last 4 years has made me realize this is the perfect thing for me and there is also a need for it.

I’ve gotten enquiries into packages that were small enough to capture just the ceremony, ceremony and family photos or a little bit longer. Having a full time job has made doing full 12 hours weddings way too difficult and time consuming. I also wanted to spend time with my daughter before she ends up a sullen teenager wanting nothing to do with me.
So the decision was made to have smaller packages and focus on those backyard, campsite intimate weddings where there was only a few hours of coverage needed. I think what sealed the deal was driving away from a wedding while it was still sunny out and I was able to have supper at home with the rest of the night to edit.

So I now offer 3 packages from 2 hours to 5 hours of coverage that focuses on natural lighting and candid moments. I have also cut back on the number of weddings I do a year to make sure I have more time to edit photos for the weddings as well as sessions and still have family time. So far this year and last it’s been working out really well and I will be doing this for the forseeable future. I can’t wait to capture more intimate weddings and see what cool locations I end up in next.

Memories of Fall 2019

Last year was a great year for Fall for me. I was able to capture many families for Fall sessions and even got to capture my own family at Leisure Farms.
Fall is my favourite season to be in and to have sessions in. The beautiful colour of the leaves, the sweaters and hot drinks, and of course Halloween.
Last year we ran through the corn maze, had marshmallows over a fire, launched pumpkins out of canons and decorated little cute pumpkins.
I was lucky enough to capture a family at Leisure Farms as well and after that I was hooked on the idea. I hope this year I get to do the same thing although it may be quite different with all the safety measures that need to be taken.

I am planning out Fall Family sessions and even Christmas ones. I can’t wait until the leaves change colour, I can wear sweaters outside all day and drink tea wile watching spooky movies. Alright I have a secret, I have already been watching spooky movies while editing for the past month I just cannot wait any longer.

It is September 1 2020 and this year has been wildly different and unpredictable and I imagine the Fall will be just as different. So let’s create some unpredictable memories, have some fun and make sure we remember the good times in 2020 that we managed to have in between all the other ones.

It's Been a Great Year so Far!

September has always been the month to start new things for me. Could be my love of school and buying stationary, could be Fall is my favourite season and I always feel refreshed with the cool crisp air of Fall after a sweltering melting summer.

My daughter is starting her first year of school this year and I decided what better time to change my business name and finally get the new website up and running. A great time to do some firsts all around.

It has been a great year for weddings so far and I see even better things are coming for the rest of the year and next year as well.

Nothing like a 10 year wedding anniversary and some vow renewals on a beach to start off an amazing wedding season this year. Sturgeon Falls was a great setting for this beach photo filled with fun and laughter that had the whole family involved.&nb…

I can't wait to start sharing more weddings and sessions with you and hearing from you. I look forward to shooting the Fall Family sessions and then Christmas. January will be used to get ready for another busy year to come.

For now I wish you all a great long weekend, have fun and stay safe!
